The musician Sia publicly offered to fund Communication First to make an introductory short to her new movie MUSIC, however after a team of nonspeaking and autistic people brought together by @CommunicationFIRST previewed MUSIC and provided feedback and recommendations to Sia on how to improve it, they received no response from her team. The short was intended to help humanize and spread awareness about real nonspeaking autistic people, who were left out of MUSIC, despite being the subject of the movie. This month, CommunicationFIRST decided to move forward to produce a self-funded short by and with real nonspeaking autistic people. The film LISTEN is the result. "Si vous nous laissez toujours de côté, les gens pensent que nous ne sommes pas capables de participer. C'est pourquoi la plupart des gens ne se rendent pas compte que nous avons une contribution à apporter. Incluez-nous et vous verrez que nous avons tant à donner".

It's Shrove Tuesday. Some know it as Pancake Tuesday. Cory from Whitelock House started the day with pancakes. Tonight, many will be enjoying pancakes from the Stratford Country Club and other places. Today is also the beginning of Mardi Gras. Core Members will be celebrating Mardi Gras in their homes tonight. Watch for Mardi Gras pictures tomorrow.

Battle of the Fans is an online video Lip Sync competition and fundraiser created by L'Arche Canada So, SAVE THE DATE: Our first round (we have 32 teams participating from around the WORLD!) goes down on November 24th, 2020.
