This is new today on the OFSC Mobile Trail App and also the Interactive Web based Trail guide!!! Now there is no excuse for riding outside of your local Public Health Unit Boundary as it clearly marked with a blue line right in the app or online!! Ride safe & ride LOCAL!!!
Also following KFLA health unit boundaries you can ride all of our trails that are available to ride and still be in your health unit!
Just a reminder when our trails change status, we will "not" be posting updates for this through our social media. You can download the "ITG" Interactive Trail Guide App at google play or Apple Store! You can find more info at the OFSC website: https://www.ofsc.on.ca/
In support of the existing provincial shutdown and to limit non-essential travel, we are urging snowmobilers to avoid travelling outside their local public heal...th region, and only ride local trails when availability shows as Yellow or Green on the Interactive Trail Guide (ITG). Read today's release here: https://www.ofsc.on.ca//ofsc-delivers-important-new-years/ We'd also like to wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy 2021 and thank ALL of our volunteers for their tireless efforts this year! Watch the ITG on the OFSC website at www.ofsc.evtrail.com to follow the trail status changes. Check before you go for for changes!! Also be extra cautious as the groomers may be out on the trails this weekend trying to get a trail base established!!! We need more snow........
This app has gotten many good reviews and could be a lifesaver out on the trails or anywhere else in the woods throughout the year. Here is the link to check it out: https://what3words.com/products/what3words-app/
As we are hoping for more snow soon to get out on the sleds, our volunteers have been working hard behind the scenes to get ready for the season during these covid times. If you would like to volunteer with the club, pls follow this link to our club website and click on the "about us" then go to the "volunteer" section and fill out the form. Our Club Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch shortly after! If you have already done this and it did not work, check your spam or junk mail and or try filling out the form again! We thank all those volunteers who are with the club now and always look forward to more. http://www.laridgerunners.ca/
This season will be one for the books, not only for the dealer's but also for the clubs! Let's hope mother nature plays nice for all of Ontario and even more so in our neck of the woods https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/as-snowmobile-sales-skyrocket-dea
We ask that riders know your health unit as you are expected to only snowmobile within your local health unit. Always refer to Interactive Trail Guide (ITG) or the Go Snowmobiling App to see when trails become available.
We are hoping for the best this winter for Eastern Ontario....not sure what it will bring but we hope for lots of snow! Here is some info from The Weather Network: https://www.theweathernetwork.com//canada-winter-weather-2
Just got my OFSC newsletter and there's reassuring news for any snowmobilers wondering if recent pandemic developments might have any impact on OFSC trail ridin...g this winter. New restrictions in 4 public health regions provides us a good example of how OFSC Flex Trails would work to keep us riding! Please be sure to follow the perscribed guidelines listed in this article. We should consider ourselves lucky that we are able to utilize our trail system durin...g this province wide shut down. We should be reminded that riders can loose this privilege if these rules and regulations are not followed. Ride safe and remember to social distance
This is great news for the Eastern clubs this year, they need good news after a terrible year with red tape....
Hwy 519 and 17 at 10:00 am today. Dubreuilville Ontario area.
