Some people have been asking if we are a wholesalers. We are Not a Wholesale outlet. We make jewelry for artists to sell on their own. First they send us their design, then we will vector it, if it needs vectoring. If its already vectored then we just have to program the design into the LaserSharp computer. Then the client will tell us what they want engraved, cut out, and sizes. Some of the artists just want a shape cut out and then they engrave on it and do all the finis...hing themselves. Other artists just submit their designs and we do all of the finishing for them. We charge by the weight of the silver, laser time, polishing, doming, soldering bales on pendants, and earring hooks. Our move was successful thanks to Grant Pauls for suggesting all city movers they were wonderful and made me feel confident in what they were doing heres their location and phone number if anybody needs a mover I suggest Muller...

I was so blessed to be able to go home to BellaBella for the opening of the bighouse thanks to my beautiful cuzin Margaret and her husband Mark When I got back to Vancouver I got some bad news and some good news... The bad news is that laser sharp business has to move before the end of December. The good news is that we will be moving to a larger location only a few blocks away. So to all of my clients who have their jewellery made at laser sharp, it would be a good idea to order your Christmas orders ASAP because in the month of December we will be moving and not excepting any orders...

Happy Aboriginal Day from Laser Sharp! Today I want to share a new piece Ive been working on as well as our process here. This is a killer whale bracelet designed by myself (Travis Neel). It began as a pencil sketch, converted to a vector design in Adobe Illustrator, laser cut and engraved and then hand polished and shaped. It is 6 x 2/3 and 1mm thick. ... Today I didnt have to make anyone elses jewelry so I experimented with some other ways of doing the same design that I did last week and this is what I came up with...

So I thought I would share this storey on this pencil design and ultimately this pendant on how it came about! A friend of mine showed me the wooden piece with ...the design on it which was made by her grandmother many years ago maybe 30 + years ago, which I thought was pretty cool! As a memorial to her grandmother I suggested the idea that I would make her (the granddaughter) a pendant for her as a cool remembrance piece! So when it came to the piece and figuring out a size and how to finish it, I made the first pendant which was to big and it didnt feel right the second piece I tried adding a gold eye (my signature) on it and the gold piece actually broke off a section of it, then I thought I would just replace the gold eye and the eye melted, so I took it as a sign that her grandmother in spirit did not want me messing with her Design. So I made a smaller pendant domed it a little then put on a bail then polished it! What your seeing is the 3rd pendant as the other two prior didnt work out, clearly I was guided by her grandmother Vicky! What I do remember is she was a strong loving woman to her family and was determined to have things the way she wanted, even in passing she did not want people fussing over her, all I can say is thank-you for the opportunity making this piece for your granddaughter and the lesson!

Im so sorry that we havent been posting anything lately. We have been unable to operate our business since July 5th, due to our move to our new location. During the move, the movers dropped our laser machine on the cement floor and broke the fibre optics in the cord. The cord had to come from Austria to Toronto and then to Vancouver and costs $15,000 for the new cord. So we have been dealing with insurance and Trotec to get it fixed. Plus the loss of revenue has been quite devastating. I pray that it gets fixed this week, cause Im heading home to Bella Bella for my family potlatch on Saturday.
