For those of you who don’t know me, when I’m not at the hospital working in Recreation Therapy, I’m lashing, or waxing! ... Today is my last WEEKDAY availability as I leave for Medicine Hat for my final practicum this weekend! I will be gone for 7 weeks. However, I have dedicated my saturdays to coming home and working on my lovely clients! I Love what I do, and all of you too much to take a break That being said, I have very limited availability, and am booked until the middle of April. Please share I think everyone in the Warner/Milk River/ Coutts/New Dayton area needs to hear this. The village of warner has decided its just easier to not pu...t the ice surface in the civic center this season, due to COVID. This is a bullshit excuse. I’ve seen this day coming for quite a few years now. I feel sorry for the 2 teams( novice and initiation) that now have to FOLD. I feel sorry for all the local volunteers that have spent their hard earned MONEY and TIME making it a great place to play hockey. I’m afraid that last year was the last time there’s going to be ice in that building. Oh, the village will tell you that the ice was scheduled for November some time,(this upcoming week is the around the usual time it would go in). So why then and not now? Waiting that long gives the 2 minor hockey teams WMH had no chance in preparing for the season,, and if the ice doesn’t go in by November( which I’d bet on not happening )there’s no chance for the kids to find other teams to play with. Not to mention the men’s league, stick and shoot, public skating, ect. that also get the shaft. It’s complete bullshit. Rant over. See more
