PLEASE READ It is with such a heavy heart that I am announcing that all upcoming appointments this week will be cancelled and I will be closed for business. This news comes after a day of my gut telling me it’s the right thing to do, the government’s recommendation that Canadians should stay home, and lots of other brave local businesses making the same choice.... Nothing hurts me more than disappointing my clients, as most of you know. I HATE turning people away, saying no.. etc. I know this is the right choice but I still fear upsetting you. Small businesses and the self employed need you now more than ever. Like I said in my story I am privileged and lucky that for the next 3 weeks after this one I was prepared for a loss in income as I was supposed to be vacationing in Europe. I also am lucky in the sense I work from home so I don’t have extra business costs to maintain. With that being said, this week still hits hard. Make sure you support all your local people during this time. Something as little as a like and comment on social media can go along way. Ordering products online, purchasing gift cards, etc. Everything is appreciated. On the bright side, not everything has been cancelled. Connections are not cancelled, love is not cancelled. And we have been given the gift of time. I’m already looking forward to all the FaceTime wine dates I will be having haha.. and I’m looking forward to tackling all the projects I’ve been putting off forever! To some, all of this may sound extreme. But I strongly believe we are fortunate to be in a position to act before things get worse, and that it is our responsibility to do so. Also, if I’m going to make the wrong decision, I’d rather close for a week, be out a good chunk of $ and have cleaned my house and think man I didn’t HAVE to do that than contribute to someone’s grandparents falling ill. Classic lash curl!! . You know lashes come in different lengths/sizes... but do you know that lash extensions come in different curls?! This truly makes for a customized look. I most often use C or D curl. ... C curl is a beautiful classic curl. It creates an elegant, natural result! It is what I most often use when my clients request a more natural look. . D curl has a little more oomph. The extension lifts a little bigger, is more curly, and results in a more dramatic look. It is what I use most often when clients request a look with a little more drama! . Pictured here is a D curl! We went with D as she is a performer and wanted to replace the use of false lashes on stage! Don’t let the drama of D scare you, however! How big and curly they turn out is highly dependent on your natural lashes. Someone with very straight lashes may benefit form the extra lift of the D curl, while someone with naturally curly lashes could achieve the same look with just a C! Personally, D is my favourite every day look! To make it extra complicated, there are some looks where we mix curls.... but we’ll leave just it at that for now! .
