We first met the Johnson family, Mark Johnson, Glenda, Levi and Garrett Johnson of Last Mountain Livestock when they purchased The Boxer. This took us on an exc...iting adventure with them as we showed Boxer over the next 2 years which culminated in him being crowned National Champion in 2018. In a short time they have assembled an impressive cow herd with the highlight being their Boxer daughters. Why Did We Choose Gelbvieh Cattle? - We were very impresssed with the bulls from McCoy Cattle Company and their offspring that they produced, so when Chad offered to sell us his 2017 heifer crop, it was a easy decision.... - We purchased "The Boxer" in 2017 as a herd sire from Twin View Livestock. He caught our attention after winning the 2017 bull calf class at Agribition, and his success carried forward. - The breed is easy fleshing, walks on a great set of legs and feet, and have tremedously strong udder quality. - Gelbvieh cattle have an extremely pleasing temperment which makes handling a joy, and also expetional maternal instincts. Last Mountain Livestock is excited about "The Boxer" offspring, and the potential he will bring to not only our herd, but everyone who purchases one of his sons!
