Meet The Kill Your Lawn vol. 1 Contributors: @flokieart_! "I am an illustrator, my work embodies a sense of adventure, solitude, nostalgia and the importance of self care and personal growth. I often create short comics that reflect on universal human feelings and experiences, trying to condense them down into an understandable analogy or journey to make them more manageble for people. I want to make my messages and work translatable into many different mediums and projects, leading me to experiment regularly and push myself into new directions. My aim is to make people feel less alone, comfortable in themselves and to encourage people to follow their passions and push for what they feel is important. Along with lots of cute cat drawings!"

Meet Our Kill Your Lawn vol. 1 Contributors: @mayahum! "Maya Hum is an illustrator, arts educator and exhibiting artist based in Ottawa. Her work is inspired by stories about conserving the well-being of others, yourself, and the environment. And she is often drawn to creating nature-based settings balanced between reality and imagination. Originally from the Maritimes, Maya moved to Ottawa to complete her degree in Music and Sonic Design from Carl...eton University. In her final year of study, her work saw the addition of a variety of visual elements. This led her onto the visual art and illustration path! She continued her studies at the Ottawa School of Art, Toronto School of Art, and Algonquin College (Ottawa). Maya’s work has been featured in national and international publications, campaigns and exhibitions. She has also completed a number of public murals throughout Ottawa. Meet Our Kill Your Lawn Contributors: @emittann! "I was born in Hungary, currently living and studying in Scotland. My work is still experimental as I'm still a student, trying to find my way in life. Even though it is early on in my creative career, I do love to focus on my use of colour and I find a lot of joy in details in any work I do. My inspiration for my personal works mainly comes from mundane, ordinary moments and settings, where I try to evoke a sense of tranquility and comfort."
