Been a while since I posted anything. I wanna talk adaptation and training variables. On a surface level many people are aware of variables in a training program such as load, volume, rest periods and order of exercises. Those are variables associated with human physiology. They are very important. Although an invisible but still tangible variable is perceived exertion. Basically what this is getting at is an individual’s self assessed threat level of the training stimulus. I...n a well designed program we want a set amount of physical stimulus over the right amount of time. In that time we want their perceived exertion to gradually come down. Then we can add or change the stimulus. It can also be described as my brain just feels like this is easier than it used to be the cool thing about it is we know it’s validated because we use PHYSICAL metrics to measure it. Always pay attention to yours or your clients PE during a program. They need to be acutely flexible on the go too!! Stay strong See more
