Thank you Jim and Judy for your important work to reduce the risk to non-target species by using other types of traps that don’t poison rodents, and continue to kill up the food chain. One of our most important assets is our #Biodiversity. Our know residents know how important local wildlife, and nature is to a healthy community.

Excited to hear the upcoming Green Drinks talk on maintaining a healthy urban tree canopy in the TriCities. Our group has long advocated for this! :)

In the spirit of honouring Black History Month, we will use our space to feature the Black history of our community. We will also feature Black artists, chefs, ...as well as Black-owned restaurants, vendors and resources. We are compiling a growing list, so please reach out if you would like to be featured or know of an individual or business that should be featured. Thanks to our friends at SFU, they have prepared a list that you can access via the link below. It is important that we all acknowledge that the Black Lives Matter movement is not only relevant one month a year. We need to stay committed to dismantling Anti-black racism and the systems that perpetuate it. February gives us an opportunity to appreciate our collective history and Black Canadians’ contributions to our communities. https://www.sfu.ca//solidarity-with-black-owned-businesses

If we are going to tackle the huge challenge that is the climate emergency, then we are absolutely going to have to put aside the idea that we can dominate it.

The Symposium on Water Stewardship in a changing climate is one of the most compelling conferences. Viable solutions for communities to consider.
