Not only is Remembrance Day a special occasion at Laurel Heights, but all across the country. Although it looked a little different than a large gathering together each year, instead this year the residents opened their suite doors to listen to the Remembrance Day Ceremony on the overhead speaker. Each resident also got a Poppy to place on their suite door.

Today our Recreation Therapist- Alix, personally put on a beautiful Remembrance Day Ceremony over the overhead speaker for residents and staff to listen and pay tribute to all who have served in the war, army, and navy, past and present. This included and not limited to: the honerable mentions of all of our Veterns to Laurel Heights and Verterns Widows, the singing of O’ Canada, and a Moment of Silence. Manager on Duty- Kinjal, and Recreation Aides Adilia and Michelle, also laid wreaths on our main fireplace mantel in honour of everyone who has served and made sacrifices for our country.
