It's almost officially SPRING! That means some of us will be itching to get outside and start working on our new fit, tanned, summer, selves. But it's important not to do too much too soon.
My most recent super food: KEFIR !! I have been enjoying making my homemade fermented dairy drink for a few months now and I have been using it as a substitute for yogurt and milk in smoothies, desserts, pancakes, dressings,etc. It has several times the amount of probiotic cultures than yogurt. Give it a try!

My super food this week: QUINOA! Not a grain, as I had previously thought, but is related to beets, spinach and swiss chard. It's an amazing gluten-free source of protein, healthy fats and antioxidants. Can't believe I have yet to substitute it for oats at breakfast time!
