Hello all new and old international students, My name is Emmanuel Ngoma and I am also an international student at Laurentian. I host a zoom Conversation Cafe ...show every Saturday at 7:00 pmwhere a selected student tells us about their country. It is followed by an informal discussion to learn a little more about that country. I'd love to have all of you join us (it will be scheduled in your calendar with the link) and I hope that many of you will volunteer to tell us about your country. Thank you. Dear Students, My name is Ridhi and I am a 2nd year student from India. We are looking for some chefs for our weekly Monday night Cooking show. For each sessi...on we will be joining a different chef from a different part of the world. Our chefs are our international students. You can become a chef for one night. Let us know if you are interested in cooking in front of a camera and teaching the participants to prepare your favorite food from your culture.Take your phone, record the process of the preparation of the meal. International Education Week (IEW) is celebrated worldwide every third week of November. The celebrations here in Canada coincide with those held in over 100 countries around the globe. Our event (November 16-20) will focus on learning about our diverse campus culture via our student clubs and international students, and will provide an additional opportunity for students to socialize and get some helpful tools and support for academic success. November 10, 2020 Hello to all of our International Students, We at Laurentian are counting down the days until we can welcome you to our beautiful campus in Sudbury! Our faculty and staff are working hard to ensure that you have every opportunity to pursue your studies safely and enjoy a dynamic student experience on our campus.... Before you start planning your trip to Canada, please be advised that Laurentian is not yet on the Approved Designated Learning Institution (DLI) list,* which is a requirement for entry into the country for our international students, but we expect to be added to this list very soon. Laurentian has been notified by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities that we have moved on to the next step of the approval process. We are hearing good news and will have more to share soon.
