"We really appreciate that with synchronous learning, our kids can still be taught by their teachers and interact with their instructors and classmates. We've seen, for an extended period of time now, the hard work, care and creativity their teachers put into supporting their students", said this parent. #educatingandinspiring #Christianeducation #Christianschool

"Though it's not at all the same, we're glad learning can continue at a steady and significant level", this parent said. Their children enjoy doing music and counting together, and have even taken to playing "school" when school time is over! #educatingandinspiring #Christianeducation #Christianschool
Our Sensory Path has many uses! This is Mrs. C., one of our para-educators, encouraging a KG student to search for the spelling of words he knows, using the letters on the floor. Doesn't he look inspired? #educatingandinspiring, #Christianschool, #Christianeducation, #LaurentianChristian
Another terrific use of our Sensory Path seen here: Mrs. C., one of our para-educators, has a KG student look on the alphabet path for letters to familiar words, like his name; inspirational! #educatingandinspiring, #Christianeducation, #LaurentianChristian
It's our first Faculty Friday! This is Sam Ekpenyong ("Mr. E." to the students), one of our full-time KG teachers. In his four years teaching at LHCS he says he loves that he can express his faith in God all the time, and he appreciates the culture of love and community. He also loves inspiring his young students to walk through challenges to discover that they can do a new thing, rather than saying "I can't".
Lest we forget.
Evidence of inspiring art in the upstairs hallway.
Every class at LHCS does a service learning project; Currently, 2A is loving their neighbour in need by collecting items to battle the cold weather. Would you consider sending in new mittens, hats, socks, scarves, masks or hand warmers? #educatingandinspiring #Christianschool
http://lhcs.net//persevering-with-deeper-learning-despite/ New blog post featuring last year's 3A class as excellent, persevering news reporters.
An excellent example of (distanced) early science learning: grade 5s experimenting to discover what material soaks up water the best. The winner? Ask a grade 5 student!
An excellent example of restorative practices reminder seen in one of our grade 5 classes.
Each class is given one specific area of the school yard to spend their recess time in on a rotating schedule. This allows for creativity during recess, such as these grade 6 students having an exercise class!
