Kevin Turcotte, Christian Overton & Reg Schwagger The Borealis Quartet with saxophonist Allan Walsh, pianist T...ony Simpkin, bassist Brian Quebec and drummer Jack Broumpton are pleased to collaborate with Sudbury's own Reg Schwager on guitar, trumpeter Kevin Turcotte and trombonist Christian Overton in an exciting virtual concert recorded in Sudbury and Toronto. The quartet has been the foundation for many jazz events featuring well known artists such as Oliver Jones, Ranee Lee, Mike Malone, Brian O'Kane, Shirantha Beddage, Sundar Viswanathan and many more. This video was shot on location in Sudbury and Toronto Ontario. Sudbury is located in Robinson Huron Treaty Territory, the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng-Anishinabe. Toronto, traditionally called Tkaronto is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, including the Mississaugas of New Credit, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat.

Hello Everyone: If you are still in town and are free on May 4th, come and hear the Sudbury Symphony's last concert of the season, at Fraser Auditorium, 7:30 p.m. This is your opportunity to hear Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 live! In addition, there is a piece by Canadian composer Alexina Louie (take note MUSC 1015, 3056 and HUMA 5406), as well as Elgar's wonderful Cello Concerto in E minor. For tickets call 673-1280.... Happy JAM (Jazz Appreciation Month). We are so happy to be celebrating this year on Facebook! There are so many jazz events happening around the city this month... and we couldn't be more excited! Check out the Sudbury Jazz Orchestra tonight at 7pm at the Royal Canadian Legion (1553 Weller St.). $20 at the door. The band is formed of many great local musicians including Allan J. Walsh, Mark Scherzinger, Jack Broumpton, Dick Van Raadshoven, Mark Taillefer, Blair McNally, and many others. How will you celebrate JAM?

Hello Everyone: I am pleased to announce that the Sudbury Jazz Orchestra is back together and we will be performing in concert on April 1 at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1553 Weller Street in Minnow Lake (overlooking Lake Ramsey). Tickets are $20 at the door and the poster is attached. Please share this with all your contacts. The jazz orchestra is made up of Laurentian faculty (Allan Walsh, Charlotte Leonard, Jack Broumpton, Peter Scherzinger, Zach Weil), LU alumni ...(Blair McNally, Marc Taillefer, Mary Ann Dandridge, Mike McArthur, Tracy Mark), an LU student (Mark Scherzinger), LU staff (Benoit Clement) and friends (Brittany Goldsborough, Carolyn Otto, Jodi Bourcier, Justin McLean, Mitch McIntyre). Hello Everyone: This is to let you know of a concert this Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. by one of Canada's best choral groups the Elmer Iseler Singers from Toronto This 40th anniversary tour concert will take place at St. Andrew's Place. Tickets are available at the door at $35 - no student prices have been made known to me at this time. This concert can count towards your applied credit. The Elmer Iseler Singers have been nominated for two Juno and a Grammy award in their long... prestigious history. The repertoire in this performance will emphasize Canadian music.
