We're all stressed a bit more these days, and being good to ourselves is more important than ever. Normally, I post recipes for yummy food things, but this one is a little different! Between winter weather and multiple hand washings, our skin can get dried out, cracked and super sore and itchy. The solution can be found in your pantry cupboard!... ~ Moisturizing Oatmeal Bath ~ 1 cup uncooked oatmeal flakes 1 tbsp corn starch Put all into a clean, thin sock or nylon. Tie off, and drop into a tub of warm water (not too hot, as very hot water can dry out your skin too) and swoosh around. You can even use the oatmeal-sock to gently exfoliate dry knees and elbows. ** Optional step -- put the oatmeal and corn starch into a blender and pulse for a few seconds before pouring into the sock/nylon. It does increase the "potency" of this bath. Take care of yourselves, friends.

Hello friends, The current health crisis is affecting so many areas of our lives that perhaps we took for granted before. Limited shopping trips and the scarcity of some grocery items are causing frustration for many people; some folks are home cooking and baking for the first time. Being creative and frugal (and safe!) in the kitchen is more important than ever. ... As we move through this difficult time, it's important to remember we are in this TOGETHER! It's time to find opportunities to help, support and encourage one another. If you find yourself frustrated in your meal planning or preparation, I AM HERE TO HELP YOU. I am available for messenger chats, video calls, phone calls or texting most weekdays. I will walk through your fridge and pantry with you "virtually" and help you with planning, using leftovers, using oddball items you're not sure how to use, substitution ideas if you can't find an ingredient in stores, etc, etc, etc. I will be offering this (at zero cost) for the duration of this crisis. Love and peace to you all, friends. Stay well, stay safe, and stay home. P.S. -- If you have a skill to impart, I encourage everyone to share their knowledge virtually; let's take this time to learn and grow together! EDITED TO ADD: Because this is a virtual/online service, your location doesn't matter! BC friends, Alberta friends, Ontario friends, and new friends from anywhere in between! Message me... I can help.
