Congratulations to Dr. Darren Thomas on this historic appointment. Dr. Thomas is a familiar face to many DMJ students who have taken his Introduction to Indigenous Studies course.
A new student lounge is in the works on Laurier's Brantford campus, located on the lower level of One Market. There was a need for social space for students to... just hang out, says Jess Calberry, manager of the Centre for Off-Campus Initiatives. Not necessarily an academic space, but a space for student-focused connection. It is hoped the new space will be complete and ready for use when students return to in-person learning.
