Position Date: August 27th September 8th Hourly Rate: $14/hr plus 4% vacation Location: Various locations on the Brantford campusNumber of positions: 20... Reports to: Teeba Alsafar, International Student Advisor, Laurier International Brantford Laurier International is currently seeking enthusiastic and organized individuals to assist Laurier International staff with the coordination of International Orientation (August 31 to September 8th). The position is multifaceted and so it is important that the successful candidates possess the following strengths and skills: Enthusiastic and positive attitude Inclusive, accepting and culturally sensitive Commitment to providing exceptional customer service Ability to build relationships and work as part of team Knowledge of Laurier International services, WLU services, Brantford campus and the City of Brantford Ability to work unsupervised Available for training and international orientation Job Responsibilities: Attend training day on August 30th Assist staff with organization of orientation for incoming international, and exchange students participating in international orientation Help with physical resource procurement and logistics such as compiling welcome kits and registration packages Attend all International Orientation events/sessions and support event leader in delivering the program Act in various roles such as: Check-in table Greeters & directional assistants Meal set-up and clean-up Activity leads Check-in day staff Office drop-in staff Tour guides Bus monitors Report any issues or questions that participants are facing Direct participants to resources as needed Other duties as required To apply, please complete the following applicati on before July 30th.
