January 23rd Update Hello everyone, Laurie is currently enjoying a ‘bagless’ stay, in an all-inclusive room with a window view, in the luxurious Foothills Medical Center! She tells me that someone checks on her well-being regularly, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with snacks. They even attend to her pain management by offering regular doses of medication sounds like a sweet break from the isolation at home. Her surgery went very well yesterday and she is well on... her way to recovery. She may come home as soon as Monday, but that hasn’t been determined yet. The nurses are quite impressed with her progress so far eating, walking, etc. - considering the surgery she just had. Dr. Buie and his team not only reversed the ileostomy, but also removed the power port that had been used to administer the chemo drugs (a two-for-one promotion no doubt). Unfortunately, the ‘resort’ is very exclusive and does not allow visitors at all . Laurie sends her love to everyone! Tony See more

Good Morning Everyone, Sept 15 update: I have now finished my 3 aggressive chemo sessions for a total of 9 chemo treatment sessions. The chemotherapy has done a great job, without impacting my body, mind and spirit in too many ways. Based on the images from the MRI and CT scan from August 5th and 6th, the cancer does not show on my liver. :) I will accept that as a miracle. These images were still showing a 2cm mass that began on my sigmoid colon attaching to my cecum colon..., then attaching to the pelvic wall and vagina cuff. Dr. Buie, (best surgeon ever), can now see a pathway to get to the attachments and remove the mass. Yes there is still concerns and possibilities the outcome may not be what we are all hoping for. Surgery scheduled for September 18. This is where my job even gets deeper, I am here to say we can all rewrite our stories. We are not always given such big opportunities to rewrite our stories but apparently, I do - not once but twice! (We won’t include falling 20 feet off a ladder - oops I did, so let’s say3 opportunities). I believe I am in great hands; I trust Dr. Buie and all those attending with him. Both in the physical world and spiritual realm. This day will be created with divine Love and a sacred circle with all of the highest beings, visions and light. For those who don't follow numbers and their meaning, the number 9 can represent the following: I was told on September (9 Letters) on the 9th I would be having surgery on Sept 18 - (9+1 =9) following a new moon (A new moon represents new beginnings; it is an opportunity to create new visions and goals. This new moon in September 2020 is the archetypical nurse and makes an amazing healer.) There is so much to learn about the cycles of the moon. I am also surrounded by some sacred events that are happening on the weekend with some loving teachers. I would like to attend those however spirit has a way of lining things up that they see is best for me. Nine is the number of magic. Nine is a sacred number. Nine is the number of completion and fulfillment. Nine is a symbol of wisdom and good leadership. Nine is the number of heaven. In Hinduism nine is the number of Brahma, the Creator. As I walk into surgery, knowing this is not in my hands and learning to be present, I continue to release the attachments that show up. Keeping myself detached - as my teacher would say, ‘being non-personal’. I do know that I am Love and I am Loved. It is a grateful gift to be surrounded by such love. I would like to say that I am profoundly grateful for the gifts that have been sent to me - and this encompasses all of you. I have and continue to be so humble, blessed and have learned a great deal of how to receive. HiYaYa

We spent the weekend with our EARTH TRADITIONS friends learning about the power of sacred dialogue with the different aspects of Mother Earth. Our theme for the weekend was personal healing. The energy we chose to work with mostly was with water. CHOC is the Spirit Keeper of Water according to the Maya. The gift of these teachings is it gives us a chance to learn techniques that help us to dial into inter-dimensional constructs that support the ability to shift our reality fr...om emotional and mental drain to receiving life force energy that will cleanse the "struggle". Water Alchemy is one of the most powerful tools to rest our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Fear or Faith It’s been another week and no chemo due to my neutrophils being so low.2. To great of a chance to get an infection. However the tumour cancer marker has gone down in a week from 33 to 21. This means the tumour is shrinking. We want the marker to be 0 The question I ask is how can one feel so strong , look great and live life to its fullest? Because one goes to faith which lives in the heart and not fear. I went for a walk after receiving the news of no chemo a ...hawk gave me a message and the mountain blue birds gave me a reminder from last week. Zippity doo dah my oh my it’s a wonderful day. Thank you it’s the miracle in everyone’s prayers, love and light. As my oncologist DR.Tang said keep up with the rainbows and crystals what ever you do it’s working. See more

Today I prayed to Pachamama, Teach me to call upon your gifts as our mother to nurture myself to be gentle and to learn the depths of unconditional love, self c...ompassion and forgiveness. Today I prayed to the waters, to wash away the heavy energy that creates any disharmony in my body. To show me how to be in fluidity, to allow and accept with gratitude the chemo that will soon enter my body. To do the job it is here to do with ease and grace. Today I prayed to the ancestors, May the healing I am doing be not for me and my ancestors but all ancestors. May they walk with me to the top of the mountains and back down. Today I prayed to the mountains, May I be as strong and grounded as you. May you share your wisdom and knowing with me as I sit in stillness. Shedding the old and expanding and allowing the new. Today I prayed to spirit, thank you for showing me the way on the next part of this journey. Thank you for bringing a community together to support me and my family on this journey. Today I prayed to the sun, thank you for transforming the tumour and all cancer in my body. I bring in your light. I walk in the light and love, Today I prayed to the eagle, thank you for holding vision and rising above the illness. This is not my story it is a test of faith in the creator. May 12th update Good afternoon everyone. Well, we're heading into the homestretch for the chemo phase of Laurie's journey. After a couple hiccups with lower than expected neutrophils, she had missed two chemo sessions but is back on track with 3 chemo sessions in a row and chemo #5 today. Her bloodwork results were amazing. Her neutrophils were at 2.6 - the highest they have been since Feb 25 when they were 3.1. and a decreased CEA count of 7.3. The CEA is down from 48 in ...February! (CEA counts indicate cancer cells in the body. Normal counts should be between 0 and 5) The combination of chemo, healing sessions, support from friends and family, as well as a healthy diet that includes supplements and homeopathic remedies have all combined to bring her to this point. Imaging appointments are scheduled with a CT scan on Friday and an MRI next week. The results of these images will determine next steps. She had met with the liver surgeon last week and will be meeting with the radiologist in two weeks. Laurie has tolerated the chemo well with some side effects low neutrophils, neuropathy in her hands, and fatigue, (which results in less activity which is relaxing for those of us isolated with her ) Most importantly, she continues to be optimistic and positive. This has been imperative to her amazing response to treatment. Update on funds. Dr. Pyatt's clinic is now open and Laurie has a Hyperthermia / Vitamin C IV session booked for Wednesday. As well, funds have been used for her healing sessions and homeopathic resources. In order to continue to support and sustain Laurie’s wellbeing we have used some of the funds to purchase a Hyperthermia Mat that mimic's the effect of Dr. Pyatt’s more targeted treatment sessions. The hyperthermia mat allows her to receive continued benefits from the heat therapy when she is not accessing Dr. Pyatt's treatments. April 15 update Good morning everyone. Here is an update on Laurie's treatment. After missing two scheduled chemo sessions due to lower than expected white bloo...d counts, (WBC), she was able to receive chemo yesterday. Her WBC went from a previous value of .2 to an increased value of 1.9. The better news is that her CEA marker - identifying the presence of colon cancer cells - has been steadily going down and is now at 16.6. It was at 44.6 in March. This is indicating that the tumors are shrinking! So, her third chemo session yesterday went well. The dosage was lowered due to the assault on her WBC during the precious chemo sessions. Due to the new isolation strategies at the hospital, Laurie goes into these sessions on her own and has to spend the three hours without the benefit of my humor and hilarious jokes.
