As many of you already know, I am closing Lavender at the end of this month because I have joined forces with Jacquie Clarke and Butterfly Threads. We opened the new store on the corner of 4th and Dominion a couple of weeks ago and have been run off our feet busy. I am so happy and we are having so much fun. It is nice to go home exhausted at the end of the day and know you have made someone very happy with the new pretties they have bought. I will be starting a closing out sale next Wednesday so please come to Lavender for some great deals. I would rather not have to move anything home so come and be amazed at the deals! New fall stuff arriving every day, shoppers. Just put out a whole new schwack of clothes from another home based business. Also lots of new gently adored, well cared for clothes (some look like they were never worn). So if you are a size 10 - 14 you can find some excellent designer scores! Lots of new winter scarves and a new shipment coming in next week. I love scarves and I am so happy it is getting cooler so that I can start to wear all of my fall stuff again, aren't you? This beautiful armoire from the early 1800's and hailing from London, England is on sale. It is made of maple and birds eye maple and has exquisite hand carved doors. Inside is a section with three drawers and a place to hang your shorter clothes. In the double section is a clothing rack and a large drawer. This piece has been appraised at $12,500 and I had it listed for $4850. It is on sale for the next two days for $3999. Worth every penny and will only grow in value. Would... be great in a bedroom or as a storage unit in a dining room or large kitchen. Call me if you want more specific info.

If you come into the store and you can't see me it is because I am comfortably ensconced in my chair with my feet up on my footstool knitting away. You will hear me first as I greet you, so don't be alarmed...it is not a disembodied voice. Just me crafting in the corner. I have knit so many neck warmers and infinity scarves for this coming fall that my fingers are starting to get numb and tingly. Oh, well it worth it as they are really turning out quite well. I found some gor...geous yarns at Top Drawer Yarn Studio. Beautifully hand dyed alpaca, silks and merino wools. I will post some pictures asap. Tomorrow I get to hang up my latest Tascha acrylic painting of a Frida Kahlo with a tuxedo cat wrapped around her neck. It is big, bold colored and great! Another to add to my collection for sale. Just put in an order for some new purses which could be here as early as this Friday. Great shapes and colors for summer. Have a great night everyone.
