Memo - Lavrock Centre to remain closed for rest of 2020 After consultation between the Chair of the Lavrock Board of Management and the Lavrock Manager with the Diocesan Executive Officer and Finance Officer, it was decided that the Lavrock Centre would not be reopening as planned and it will remain closed for the rest of this year. Those groups which had reservations will be contacted by the Lavrock Manager and full refunds on any deposits will be issued. This difficult dec...ision was made based on both the ability to operate safely under the current Health Guidelines and also the financial impact for the Diocese. Todd Martin, our Manager, will continue multiple regular visits to the Lavrock for inspection and security purposes. While we regret having to make this decision, we feel it is the best one given our current circumstances. Hopefully we will have a successful season next year in 2021. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS JUNE 26!!!! Anglican East NL announces VIRTUAL LAVROCK SUMMER CAMP 2020!... You are invited to join us for a Camp unlike any other! This year our Theme will be THE EARTH: IT’S IN OUR HANDS! While things will be a little different this year, there will be familiar faces and many of the activities you have come to love at Summer Camp! Here’s what you need to know: WHO? If you are between the ages of 8 and 13 this is for you! WHAT? Activities for you and your entire family! WHERE? Right in your own home! WHEN? July 6-9 (about 30 minutes each day) HOW? All you need to do is pre-register by contacting [email protected] Once you express your interest, we will send you a complete information package. Please note, this is a FREE CAMP. Canon Edward Keeping and Lavrock Manager Mr. Todd Martin, a decision was made to delay the opening of the Lavrock Centre until September 1, 2020. Those groups which had reservations in June, July, and August will be contacted by the Lavrock Manager and full refunds on any deposits will be issued.... The Board of Management realizes the inconvenience of this decision for users of the Lavrock Centre, but precautions need to be taken to ensure the safety of all. The Board will meet again via teleconference in late June to make further decisions as necessary.

Given the global pandemic we are facing and the uncertainty involved, this delay of opening is necessary to ensure prevention and protection for the general public. Those groups which had reservations in April and May will be contacted by the Lavrock Manager and full refunds on any deposits will be issued.
