One of the most important things to do to keep your lawn thick, green, and healthy is to make sure there is enough moisture to maintain growth. Water the lawn until you have 4 to 6 inches (100 to 150 mm) of moist soil. In extreme heat (above 27 degrees) or prolonged heavy winds you may need to put 1.5 inches (40mm) of water on your lawn per week to achieve the above 4 to 6 inches of moist soil. Depending on your watering systems output it could take 1-4 hours to achieve this.... We recommend a maximum of 2 watering’s a week to help promote strong deep root growth which will lead to a stronger lawn during times of drought. Finally, we recommend that if possible, you water early in the morning when it is usually cooler and less windy. This will allow for less water loss due to evaporation and ensure your lawn gets all the water it needs to be healthy and strong. See more
