Scott Neary and Matthew Soper’s songwriters’ duo showcases not only the craftsmanship of their writing, but their flexibility as performers and multi-instrumentalists. A musically diverse show that weaves the stories of alternating perspectives, one of leaving the Big Land and never looking back, and one that learned to embrace it as home. Happening this Sunday, our first event back in the theatre since Covid-19 restrictions were put in place. This is a mix of a digital performance from duo Bridge & Wolak and a live performance with two local opening acts - Natasha Andrews and Abby Warr. Please book tickets in advance as we need to allow for proper spacing in the auditorium.

Lawrence O'Brien Arts Centre 10.06.2020

We just want to give you an idea of how we are dealing with the covid-19 restrictions when it comes to performances. We are presently restricted to 100 patrons, if they can be accommodated with the adequate spacing, plus performers and staff. We will limit the number of ushers for each performance. Of course everyone entering the building will need to wear a mask but once you are seated the mask can be removed. It must be put back on if you are getting up to move around. We... are selling tickets only in rows A, C, D, F, H, K & L. There will be 3 vacant seats between each bubble. If one aisle seat is sold, the one on the opposite side of the aisle will remain vacant. If you buy two or more tickets, we will require the names and phone numbers of everyone in your bubble for that performance. Patrons will enter the theatre by the main door and exit by the side door, row by row. There will be no intermission and shows will be kept at under 90 minutes. The bar will not be open. Hand sanitizer is available in many locations in the lobby and next to the washrooms and dressing rooms.

We're baaack! The staff is getting ready to reopen on September 8. Box Office opens at 10 a.m. We will be functioning with all the restrictions imposed on us by covid-19: limited number of patrons, masks, spacing, hand sanitizer - lots of hand sanitizer- and hopefully, good experiences. Since we last spoke, so to speak, we have had one show cancelled. "The Feast of St. Patrick" is definitely off the schedule. You can get your refund by contacting the Box Office at 896-4028 st...arting Tuesday, September 8, at 10 a.m. Refunds can be applied to your VISA or Mastercard over the phone but for a refund to your debit card account we require the card. We are still working on rescheduling the other shows. ABBA Revisited is still scheduled for June 2021. Until we are given the go-ahead to increase the number of patrons we can have in the theatre, we have suspended ticket sales for that show.

A cornerstone of the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce (LNCC) commitment to making a positive difference in Labrador communities is our Community Investment Pr...ogram. Through this program, the LNCC aims to support important community initiatives in Labrador including health and well-being, arts and culture, literacy, education, youth, seniors, and much more. Today the LNCC is proud to support the Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre with a $2,500 donation through its Community Investment Fund. Managed by the Eastern Labrador Arts Alliance (ELAA), the Lawrence O'Brien Arts Centre's vision is to enhance the quality of life for all Labradorians by providing and advocating for an exceptional facility, programs and services for entertainment, education and cultural activities. Aligned with the LNCC’s mandate, we recognize the tremendous benefits of such a facility and its programming to Labrador and understand its positive impacts on mental health and well-being, recruitment and retention of families and professionals, education and learning, creativity and enrichment, and overall quality of life.
