My grandson stopped by the campaign office today. I love seeing my grandchildren because they are a great reminder of why I am running. I want to ensure we have a government that lives within its means so that we protect our healthcare system and other important services for their future as well. As a parent and grandparent, I know our Conservative plan of a Universal Tax Cut, Children's Fitness & Arts tax credits, and boosted RESPs will put more money in your pocket and help you and your family get ahead.

A new Conservative government will work together with autism organizations across Canada, and the greater autism community to address the needs of the autism community so they can live their best life possible. An initial investment of $50 million over five years would be used to develop a comprehensive strategy in consultation with autistic individuals, autism organizations, provincial, territorial, and municipal governments, and indigenous communities. The National Autism Strategy will be person-centred, include first-person perspectives, will be culturally appropriate, and will reflect the needs of Canada’s northern, rural, and remote communities.

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to discuss Elmwood-Transcona priorities with CBC Radio. Some great questions from the community on what matters to them.

Too many families in Canada continue to live in fear of gang and drug-related violence. A new Conservative government will do more to keep your family safe. We will also take meaningful action to fight the opioid addiction crisis by helping more people get the treatment they need, while cracking down on the despicable practice of human trafficking. ... Around a table or on the streets, it is always important to discuss concerns that matter to you. Elmwood-Transcona is a hard-working and diverse place to call home. I’m proud of the work I was able to support while MP in areas such as immigration support and grant applications by being open and accessible to our community. With your support, I look forward to the opportunity to work together to help our community get ahead.

I am proud of the major capital infrastructure projects, such as the Plessis Underpass, that I was able to advocate and drive support for during my four years as your Member of Parliament. I look forward to the opportunity to continue working hard to help you and our community get ahead.

I’m proud to run on my record of real results for Elmwood-Transcona. During my time as MP for our community, I was able to secure over $9.1 million in federal funding for local youth programming and services, along with organizations that provide valuable support for seniors and people with disabilities. This included funding for the Elmwood Community Resource Centre, Transcona Legion, East Elmwood Community Centre, East End Cultural Centre, Transcona Nationals, Elmwood Giants, Oxford Heights, Valley Gardens, South Transcona CC, Transcona Council for Seniors, Clara Hughes Park, and other parks and schools.

When I was your Member of Parliament, I worked hard to bring real results for our community. The Conservative Party ideas are straight-forward, practical, and will work to put more money in your pocket. I hope I can count on your support!
