Well, sad news...but expected...here it is from NBS President Grant Payne. This just means that 2022 will be the most ROCKIN" KICK ASS BLUES FESTIVAL yet!!! "A...fter careful contemplation I regret to inform everyone that we are canceling The 2021 Summertime Blues Festival. With the border still closed and no gatherings allowed we felt we had no choice. Dr Henry stated a while ago that she doesn’t see restrictions being relaxed until fall at the earliest and she stated no large gatherings this summer. The vaccine roll out is going, but slowly due to shortages of the vaccine. We will be back with the Festival in 2022. For those of you that choose to carry your tickets over to this year. We will honour the 2020 tickets for the festival in 2022. The festival lineup for 2022 will be announced in November with tickets going on sale in December. We will return to doing shows at the Queen’s as soon as we are allowed I also plan on returning to the idea of having a dinner and show for New Years Eve. Thank you for continuing to support the blues and live music in Nanaimo. Here is hoping we all get through this pandemic and we can get back to live music soon.
