The Lord Byng Symphony Orchestra would like to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS filled with practicing and perfecting!!

Kelly Li is a Grade 12 student who is a part of the Byng Arts Mini School Program at Lord Byng Secondary. She began learning the flute at the age of 9. She is currently studying under Ms. Christie Reside, a flute professor from UBC and principal flute of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Kelly was previously a member at the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2012 to 2016. She has achieved numerous awards in various music festivals such as the Richmond Music Festival and ...the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival. She has received 44 first places, 15 scholarships, 10 medallions and 2 trophies. She has been nominated to represent Vancouver three times in the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival Performing Arts BC, where she placed first in the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Woodwind Divisions. In the future, Kelly is working hard to pursuit her dream of becoming a professional flautist. See more
