As you are aware a major contributor to climate change is making "stuff". In the past few years I have cut out meat, recently cut out dairy, have stated using refilleries and have (as you are aware) started a compost company. All of this I have done for our home, Earth. And today on this days that we reflect on how we can change habits for our home I pledge to cut out buying "stuff". Forgot to punch in my Kelowna pick up route addresses before leaving Lake Country. So thought where is a nice place I could stop to do this before getting into Kelowna? A place to reflect and enjoy while I plan my best route. Then I thought no, I’m going to sit as close to the landfill as I can... and remember why I am working my tail feather off! I have days where I ask myself what have I gotten myself into? I have a full time job, a kiddo, two step kiddos, two animal bab...ies, a boyfriend, family, friends, hobbies and interests... why am I doing this too?! Then I pass the landfill. I see the waste and I remember... one day soon I may not have all these amazing things in my life that I cherish if something doesn’t change! We need to be the change.
