BUY TICKETS HERE: https://membership-can.keela.co/10th-annual-solutions-for-l We’re so proud to be hosting our 10th annual Solutions for Learning conference! Each year, educators and experts in the field of learning disabilities gather for two days of innovative discussions and collaboration. Because our conference is online this year, we’ve been given the unique opportunity to host more topics and speakers than ever before. While our conference is primarily designed for edu...cators, there are huge benefits for parents as well. Our panels will provide you with the key information you need to understand learning disabilities, on your own terms. You’ll be able to choose your own timetable, attending the panels and asking the questions that matter to you and your child. If you have questions about the conference or are interested in learning more about the topics we’ll cover, we strongly encourage you to check out our website for more details. We hope you’ll join us for this unmissable opportunity

A common misconception about the Learning Disabilities of Halton-Hamilton chapter is that we are a government-funded non-profit. This couldn't be further from the truth. We rely on incredible sponsors, grants, various funding and donors like you to help sustain our operations. We need your continued support to be able to help those who need it. Many people believe that those with Learning Disabilities are not clever or intelligent. This couldn't be further from the truth. Students with Learning Disabilities have average to above-average intelligence! Did you know students with LDs make up 7-10% of the general population, which means 14-20% of the above average population? Learning disability does not mean a lack of intelligence.

Ryan Hamilton went from struggling to read to becoming a teacher with a Masters in Education whose favourite past time activity is to read. With the right tools, support and attitude, you can overcome anything. As Ryan says, when you persevere, stick to your tools and work hard, a learning disability is just a hurdle you have to overcome. #LDmonth
