A vigorous frontal system moving across BC will bring heavy snow to the interior regions tonight. For Yellowhead Highway - Tete Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border, snow at times heavy will start early this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm are expected before the snow eases off Wednesday morning. For Chilcotin, Cariboo - South including Williams Lake and Yellowhead regions, precipitation will start as rain and change to snow this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected before the heavy snow eases off Wednesday morning. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. A vigorous frontal system moving across BC will bring heavy snow to the interior regions tonight. For Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, snow at times heavy may become mixed with rain late overnight as snow levels rise to 1300 m briefly. Snow will continue through Wednesday morning and taper off to a few flurries early Wednesday afternoon. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are expected. For Yoho Park - Kootenay Park, snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm are expected before the snow tapers off to periods of light snow early Wednesday afternoon. For North Columbia and Kinbasket regions, precipitation has started as rain and will change to snow later this evening. Warnings 3:46 AM PST Monday 07 December 2020 Snowfall warning in effect for:... North Columbia (Blue River) Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected. A robust frontal system is pushing southwards towards the Columbia region. With temperatures below zero and ample moisture, heavy snow will begin this morning over North Columbia and Rogers Pass. As the frontal system continues to push south, heavy snow will start falling in East Columbia and Yoho Park later this afternoon. Total snowfall accumulation is expected to be 15 to 25 cm. The heavy snow will switch over the rain for North Columbia early Tuesday morning. Heavy snow will ease late Tuesday for Rogers Pass, Yoho Park and East Columbia.
