Here's to celebrating Women Everyday and not just one day of the year! My wish is every woman, from every corner of the earth, including our Great Mother Earth, receives the recognition and respect she deserves everyday of the year. But for now, I wish every woman an amazing and brilliant "Happy International Women's Day"

What an incredible vision these 2 have for helping first responders through their experience of PTSD. Join me in wishing them the best of luck on their journey to developing this amazing retreat! I know, having been trained in the Cartier model of EAL, how powerful the experience with horses is and I am so happy to see more of these retreats opening up! Wishing you all the best River Valley Resilience Retreat! It sounds absolutely beautiful!

A wonderful surprise as I was watching the news tonight. A beautiful story about horses helping humans. Everybody needs a horse!

A leader lifts others up, and does not step on them to reach the top. The leader in a herd of horses is not the one that pushes and bullies all the others around to get what he wants. She is the one that stands quietly and solidy in her place, holds her ground and knows her worth. The care of the entire herd is her priority and every horse strives to be within her energy circle. She knows the only way they survive is to work together and she is still able to allow each horse to be their own individual selves. We are stronger together when we accept our individuality.

Happy Monday! Joy lives inside all of us. It doesn’t come from other people, places or things. They may contribute to it but they are not the source. Your joy may not look like someone else’s. So don’t judge or compare. Just do you. That’s where you will find your joy. Oh and maybe a very willing cat and pony to go with it.

Here we go again. For the safety of everyone, we are once again having to shut our doors. But don't worry, the horses are getting all rested up to be ready for you when you return. They may even have a few more tricks up their sleeves to keep you on your toes. Stay healthy. Stay safe. Respect others even if their ideas are different from yours. We are all in this together. I love this quote by Mark Amend..... Be strong enough to stand alone, Be yourself enough to stand apart, but be wise enough to stand together when the time comes. See everyone again soon! See more

This year I was, quite honestly, struggling with what I wanted to say in a Christmas message. It has been a year of ups and downs for everyone including me. Families and friends have been torn apart by grief and different beliefs in what is going on in this world. Some have found new joy and peace in a lifestyle they didn't see possible for them until the choice was taken away. My inner compass always directs me to balance. Probably because I am a Libre but I have always... felt balance happens in unusual ways. A teeter-totter comes to mind. If one person pushes too hard the other one dips. But, if both people ease up, pay attention and slow down, they can find true balance. I know, as you are reading this you are remembering back to those teeter-totter days aren't you! Remember how it felt when you got it? Elation, exhilaration, success, centred...peace.. This is what I wish for everyone. Balance, peace, centeredness, success, moments of elation and exhilaration and most importantly, love. Go find your inner teeter- totter and share it with those you love. A Christmas song comes to mind and I want to share the lyrics with you.. I would quote the singer/song writer, but so many have done it. My favourite is Kelly Clarkson My Grown-up Christmas List (Go ahead and sing it, you know you want to) Do you remember me? I sat upon your knee I wrote to you With childhood fantasies Well, I'm all grown up now And still need help somehow I'm not a child But my heart still can dream So here's my lifelong wish My grown-up Christmas list Not for myself But for a world in need No more lives torn apart That wars would never start And time would heal all hearts And everyone would have a friend And right would always win And love would never end This is my grown-up Christmas list As children we believed The grandest sight to see Was something lovely Wrapped beneath the tree But Heaven only knows (only knows) That packages and bows Can never heal A hurting human soul No more lives torn apart That wars would never start And time would heal all hearts And everyone would have a friend And right would always win And love would never end This is my grown-up Christmas list What is this illusion called? The innocence of youth? Maybe only in our blind belief Can we ever find the truth No more lives torn apart That wars would never start And time would heal all hearts And everyone would have a friend And right would always win And love would never end This is my grown-up Christmas list This is my only life I wish This is my grown-up Christmas list Merry Christmas from all of us at Leading Edge!

Speak kindly to yourself!

Leading Edge Equine Academy 20.12.2020

For some, this time of year always brings up some difficult emotions and feelings. This year is even more trying with all the new "normals" we are implementing in our lives. Sometimes we don't even realize the stress we are putting on ourselves trying to be that strong someone for someone else or put on a brave face so others can't see what is really going on deep inside us. We end up being hardest on ourselves. So be gentle, speak kindly and take some time to take care of you.

So true! Plus young boys, older women and in our barn cats!
