Fit Fathers 11.05.2021

You need rest. I used to be Mr 7 days a week in the gym. That didn’t benefit my body, marriage, relationship with my kids, energy at my day job etc. It got me abs tho. Haha. My life is much fuller taking two or three days off and I’m doing way better in all aspects of my life. Happy Sunday!

Everybody take time to appreciate the parts of your body you’re happy with while working to be the fittest you can be. Although the pandemic put me back my legs have maintained well. For now I’m happy with my twigs. Core will be the last to fully tighten up but I’m ok with this. Back on that wagon. Happy Saturday all!

Just finished running my fourth kids outdoor boot camp at Forest City CrossFit. Love seeing kids active after months of no activity. This has motivated me to get myself back on track. Not gonna lie.... I’ve worked out two times in four months with the odd run here and there. And the diet has been a complete rollercoaster. I’m ready to get back to feeling good mentally and physically. Let’s go!!!

So we’re about two months into this quarantine and I have to admit I was shook in the beginning. But after two months now I have to realize that this is life and I have to stop making excuses. I want to say thank you to all the people that message me saying that I am an inspiration to them because now they’ve in turn inspired me now. Everybody that has sent me videos of them working out etc. has really motivated me to start getting back to where I was before this all started. I’m done with excuses. And to those that never stopped... I salute you!

The first homework out of 2020 is done. In the books. The next workout will be leg day with my youngest at home. I plan on working out with all my kids over the break that we’re having. This outbreak is bigger than just being an outbreak. Take that however you want to take it! Stay active good ppl of FB.

Full disclosure.... my routine at the gym went off ... nutrition went off.... I needed time to re-evaluate how I was doing as a father and husband. I did a lot of work on myself internally and feel amazing. Now I’m ready to get my workouts and diet rolling again. An upside is my 34 waist jeans still fit. They’re getting snug but they still fit. Still in a way better spot than I was 9 years ago wearing 38 waist pants and pushing 240 lbs. If you’ve fallen off don’t beat yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on track to reaching your goals! Let’s go ppl!
