Hello! My name is Dr. Leanne Ball, DDS. I’d like to formally introduce myself! I grew up on a cattle and grain farm near Holden, Alberta. Upon graduation from the University of Alberta with my DDS degree in the summer of 2016, I married my high school sweetheart, Jeff, a fifth generation farmer living in Flagstaff county.... I LOVE dentistry! You may have heard the wisdom commonly quoted to high-school graduates: Find a job you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life! That’s what dentistry is for me! I love it for the attention to detail, the artistry, the people, and the interactions! Nothing makes me happier than when I get to give someone the smile they’ve always dreamed of, help someone out of pain, or even just provide them with what they need to maintain their level of health. Believe it or not, both Jeff and I have wanted to build a dental practice in Killam since before I was even a dentist! When we were dating, I used to volunteer at Twice Nice (one of the best little second hand stores I’ve ever been to!) with Jeff’s mom every now and then. I fell in love with Flagstaff county and the unique and rich community and culture that it offered. Since then, we’ve been working extremely hard to bring high quality dental care to Killam! This business brainchild of ours has been a labour of love since it was but a dream over 10 years ago! And now, we are finally starting to make the dream a reality! Sometimes plans change... Our original plan was to start construction of our clinic first thing in the spring, and hold our grand opening in the fall of 2020. But the unforeseeable happened... COVID delayed our plans significantly. We were not able to have our design finalized, and construction was significantly delayed. Although we have managed to get back on course and are making significant progress behind the scenes, we will not be opening this fall.... We are using this delay to our advantage, making some beneficial changes to the design, and creating something we think will turn out even better! We won’t be announcing an opening date yet, but we will be posting updates on our Facebook and Instagram accounts as things progress! Keep watching! Its about to get exciting!
