Empowering voters with a simple and safe voting platform. SmartBallot is an online voting platform that allows users to set up an organization, engage with members, and hold a secure vote. When the SmartBallot team were developing their mobile app, they turned to us to guide its look and feel, as well as create an eye-catching logo and functional, user-friendly website. To convey the cleverness and positivity we associate with voting, we designed a cheery logo depicting a ch...eckmark-shaped fox. For the web design, we embraced a tech-forward feel, using clear visual and written communication to outline the app’s benefits, outline its flexible pricing options, and promote the free demo. Finally, to ensure a cohesive visual experience, we created a User Interface kit, which provided design guidelines for the app’s developers. At Leap, we’re big believers in the importance of process. Creative magic rarely happens immediately. Instead, it takes hard work, collaboration, and many, many drafts. Our work with Empress 1908 Gin was no exception. We wanted to create a 3D animation that would capture the gin’s beautiful colour, the liveliness of its flavour profile, and the elegance of the brand. Our initial idea found its way onto a simple storyboard, yet the end result is anything but basic.

MIR Corporation are travel experts operating in under-explored countries at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, providing unique tours for adventurous travellers seeking new, eye-opening experiences and cross-cultural connections. MIR needed a new website that would help visitors craft their dream itineraries and allow MIR to share their gorgeous photography and immersive storytelling. With the user’s experien...ce in mind, we improved page navigation and introduced a new Trip Finder filter, enabling visitors to quickly and easily find their best fit among MIR’s expansive trip offerings. Embracing MIR’s charming old-world aesthetic, we introduced elements such as ripped parchment edges, textured backgrounds, patterns created from tile work, and a colour palette inspired by the spices of Central Asia. Large, colourful photography showcases the beauty of MIR’s travel destinations and plays to the storytelling featured on the site. Inviting people to explore the grandeur of a remote wilderness retreat. Nestled in the heart of Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest is the family-owned Nimmo Bay Resort, a secluded luxury lodge providing once-in-a-lifetime retreats for almost four decades. In 2013, when Nimmo Bay repositioned as a world-class eco-destination, they trusted us to design the website that would put them on the map. Since then, Nimmo Bay has grown, and this meant it was time to rethink their web prese...nce. Designed to waken the senses, the new website leverages stunning visuals and evocative copy to bring the digital experience to life. Oversized, dynamic header photographs immerse the visitor in a unique coastal habitat: standing on a floating dock in salty ocean air, breathing in the fragrance of old-growth forest, and waiting to hear the crack of a twig under a Grizzly paw.
