This is why you have to be old enough to have a license to ride before taking the maintenance course otherwise youd might never have a clue!!! This is my 3.5 y o helping dad to go faster hes such a good lad!

I have saddlebags and size 12 riding boots free to new home pick up from me at john stubbs school at 300 blk of zealous cresent over the weekend. Saddlebags need so.rw repair but these are likely 2 oo dollar bags that you can probably patch at a leather shop or uphoster like tommys or weavers

Alright the post many have been waiting for and that is road course dates!!! Nov 14/15, 21/22, 28/29. 9 to 12 both days. Meet at 1-300 six mile rd. Ready to go nlt 0850. Rain or shine but will call it a day if really bad the morning of by 0800. Students are required to provide their own gear. You may ride your own bike. You need to advise me if you want a training bike. I would prefer you commit to one entire weekend but will allow mix n.match wthin reason. Cost 125 tax incl. Payment should be paid nlt 48 hrs prior. Please have your restrictions lifted if possible. Lets ride!!

Learn to Ride has at most two more courses for the year. However i will run courses into november if there is demand and pickup in February. To get a learners sooke and sidney icbc offices are taking walk.ins. quadra and mackenzie location is by appt. The Learn to ride smart booklet to read is online at icbc.com under driver licensing. Maintenance course will start by late october hopefully.

ICBC news: 2000 additional road test appointments added for September!!

Icbc apparently has hired and taught many new assessors so they predict there are 2000 more road tests available. Get online and rebook asap!!!

Last week I received a phone call from an old biker, he is in the process of moving in currently with a fiance and he had a Triumph America that needed to be moved. he's recovering from a broken hip or some form of hip surgery and he wasn't comfortable moving it so I said no problem I can move that for you. I got a couple more phone calls from him talking about the bike and his life and how you know he's got money to pay for moving the bike. I don't know how much he thou...ght it was going to be but whatever I had the boys with me so I couldn't chat long but I gave him what time I could. The day i go to move the bike and I meet him, he asks if i take plastic. of course I this wasnt my first red flag. I said no I'm either cash or e-transfer so I moved the bike from his old to new place. when you get there he says you can call Debra and she can pay you. So I call Debra. Her voice mail says hi this is Deborah leave a message. voice box is full. great I don't know what the buzzer number is so I can't reach out to her at the apartment whatever I got to go kids need to be fed so I carry on Couple days go by and I'm in the neighbourhood so I call him I said I'm not far from you from your place I'll swing by. turns out that he's not at his new place he's at his old place so I said well I'm 15 minutes away from you I'll come up to your place. I tried giving Debra call he gives me the wrong buzzer number I'm like yeah this is stacking up to be a scam so anyway to finish my story I can take this guy seat cuz this bike is sitting out it's not bolted down you know it's easy to remove and I can hold it Ransom or I can just say you know what I take the high road and stop trying to get my fifty bucks what would you do??? You know if he called me up and said listen I'm an old biker I'm down on my luck I'm moving could you move my bike for me just as a favour no expectation of being paid I still would have done it. I would have helped out a fellow biker no problem but he offered me more money than I was even asking for. Now I posted this I vented I'm just going to let it go but those bikers out there that know me know that I would have their back if they needed me to reputation is worth more than any money.

Learn to ride had 2 students pass their road tests today!! That makes so far about 5% of those taught so far this year. Congratulations to all who have passed this year! Dont mess around get on with booking your road test i will do my best to give instruction before hand to help you build those good habits!

The McKenzie Admirals overpass is a construction zone and construction zones are active 24 hours a day though if you look at traffic when you go through there you can easily see that at night nobody gives a damn that's half the problem with that area is traffic doesn't usually give a damn and goes through there still at 70 80 km an hour. this morning I had two motorcyclists one was on the merge onto the highway and rather than slow down and shoulder check he used a hand si...gnal and cut in between a tractor-trailer unit and a car that was two seconds behind then proceeded to cut in front of me and sped through the zone on his way. motorcyclist number two decided to come between me and a cement barrier with utter disregard for my life their life or the speed limit These two douchebags cannot possibly be trained for I would expect any trained rider to have more skill and more consideration in their riding decisions. in a merge Lane even though you are supposed to get up to highway speeds if it means slowing down slightly to cut in behind a vehicle when there's no other traffic behind them is a far easier and far better solution than to cut between a tractor-trailer unit and a car !! it's idiots like these on wheels that put other people's lives needlessly at risk and yet another good example of why driver training needs to be mandatory in this province and across Canada.

NEW FROM ICBC 22 JULY 2020 Moving to next phase of road test resumption We are now ready to move to the next phase of our road test resumption plan by prioritizing customers whose Class 5 and 7 road tests were cancelled between March 17 and June 26 as follows:... Customers whose tests were cancelled April 30 or earlier can book an appointment starting July 30. Customers whose tests were cancelled May 31 or earlier can book an appointment starting August 10. Customers whose tests were cancelled June 26 or earlier can book an appointment starting August 17. All other customers will be able to book a road test starting August 24. We’ll contact all eligible customers by letter or email with details on how they can book a road test online. We are not offering standby appointments at this time. We know there is a significant demand for road tests with a backlog of customers whose road tests were cancelled. We're looking at a number of things, including our resourcing, hours of operation and conducting road testing at other ICBC facilities. As customer volume increases, we are asking customers to book an appointment before visiting an ICBC office for transactions such as driver licence renewals and knowledge tests. When booking a visit to a driver licensing office, customers can choose a location and time that is convenient for them, allowing customers t...o plan their visit in advance. The online appointment system is available on icbc.com with clear instructions and information. Customers are given an option to book an appointment depending on their transaction type. The system also advises customers how to book their appointment for applicable Service BC and appointed agent driver licensing offices. Please note that customers and schools will continue to use the existing online road test booking service for all road test bookings. Booking appointments ensures ICBC continues to maintain physical distancing guidelines set by the provincial health office. Finally did it got first post covid course through the MSA, not without mechanical challenges but students faced these challenges like champs and we made it!! Congratulations to Aman K, Ryan R, Cal F, Rick M, Joseph W, atudents returning to re do the MSA are Lois H, Ed W and Mark G. Remeber tour new skills are perishable, practice often and use the phrase ride to arrive alive to guide tour movements speed, spacing, etc!!

I was.just on scene outside my home where a motorcyclist went down. He was lost at the scene. All riders watch your speed- speed kills and his helmet had no affect in saving his life. Take a course - it doesnt.matter which school just get trained its the cheapest and best investment in riding and might also save your life. I'm shaken.up. I was so close i was ready to jump in to do CPR. This was too close to home it could have been a student. ... SLOW DOWN - GET TRAINING May he rest in peace.

Learn to Ride will host a skills day for students on jun 14 from 0900 to 1600 cost 15 dollars preferably you have your own bike and gear. The suzuki trg bike will be available. Rain or shine as I am.doing msas for ltr students that day. You get 90 min of instruction/mentoring. Pre registration a must. Opportubities for 5 students at a time feom 9 to 1030, 1035 to 1215, lunch to 1300. 1300 to 1430, 1445 to 1615.
