Don't necessarily agree with this "he still believes the onus should be on manufacturers to make vehicles more theft proof. As it stands, the manufacturer gets... to sell another vehicle [to replace the stolen one], which is not an incentive for them to make the vehicles more difficult to steal, Also having a garage in our neighbourhood is the exception not the rule. Most are street and a few have laneway.

Nearly double the speed limit and a long walk home for a novice 22-year-old Collingwood driver. The G2 driver was stopped travelling 111km/h in a 60km/h zone on... Airport Road in Township of Mulmur by a member of OPP's Central Region HSD team. Driver was issued an immediate roadside seven-day licence suspension, vehicle impoundment and a court date. If convicted in court: - Fines from $2,000 to $10,000; - Jail term of up to 6 months; - Licence suspension up to 2 years or 6 demerit points; - Driver licence suspension of up to 10 years for a second conviction within 10 years. On roads with a posted limit of 60km/h or less, the risk of a fatality or serious injury is almost EIGHT TIMES greater for vehicles colliding at 50km/h or more above the posted limit.
