Happy New Year everyone! For those who are eLearning/remote learning kids and adults, I hope you are feeling refreshed after the holidays. Parents, hang in there. This is goung to sound funny coming from an online educator (during Covid-19) like me, but online learning isn't for everyone. Keep it fun and take stretch (and dance) breaks if younger learners are losing focus.

An advantage of teaching remote/online ESL lessons from my home is that learners can request practical vocabulary lessons. For example: In the kitchen, we can talk about cooking a meal, slicing oranges, boiling water, chopping vegetables, baking a cake, roasting beef in the oven, or frying an egg on the stove.

What's the occasion? What or who were you celebrating? Where was the party/event? How many guests did you have? What kind of food was served? A brainstorming chart like this can help you remember what to write or present about a topic. It can also help to build new vocabulary in your target language.

Use the Present Tense verb to describe a fact/habit (ex.Something you do daily) Example: Canada is cold in winter. I work from home.... She goes to school with her sister. He sends the report every morning. Use the Past Tense to describe an action that is completed. Ex. I finished my lunch. They ran around the school. He fixed the problem. Or When the time in which the action was taken has past. Ex. "Yesterday/Last week/Last month/Last year/In [a previous year] ... ...I wrote an essay about voting/I recovered from the flu/I learned how to dance Salsa."

Offering online ESL lessons. Teaching is my passion. Adult learners have different barriers and pressures in life. We are so busy and now have to juggle work and remote learning for our kids, too. It can be overwhelming and difficult to make time for our own needs. I totally understand that. I have 2 children remote learning at home with me. So I know personal time can be tricky to find but it is possible. That's why I offer off peak ESL lessons online. We can connect once a ...day at least, over break or after the kids' bedtime, while on a walk, or when prepping dinner! Online Adult Learning: 1st session is a FREE trial English as a second language (ESL) Business English (Basic to Advanced) Presentation Skills Interview Skills and practice Pronunciation Skills Email and Essay writing Virtual makeup lessons offered too! ESL lessons are 30 to 45mins per session. (Recommended 2x sessions per week min. for beginners and intermediate learners). Off peak lesson times available on flexi time. Payment: PayPal or Email Money Transfer (Canada) Inquire by email: [email protected]

Looks like this page has gained some new followers! Hello! Time to reintroduce myself. My name is Merry. I am based in Canada but grew up in London, England. My background is in Business Marketing and I have over 10 years experience in teaching ESL, and makeup. I used to work as Brand Manager of a global brand, and was the corporate trainer for that brand's cosmetics line (The Body Shop, and later on Laura Mercier, Nars, T.le Clerc etc). I enjoyed training the staff and doing... live events very much. I taught English as a second language at Berlitz Language Center from 2005 in the Philippines and later on, I immigrated to Canada and continued teaching here. I completed an Adult Education and Training certificate, with honours from Seneca College and also have experience teaching kids ESL online. Now, with Covid-19 affecting our lives, I am only teaching remote classes (online) of English, and Makeup skills (as I have recently retired from the Beauty Industry). With online teachers so in demand nowadays, I have decided to dust off this page and re-launch my tutoring services. If you're following this page and need tutoring, say hi! Let's connect.
