With the Spring weather approaching, the children have enjoyed being outdoors and engaging in fun outdoor play!

It is wonderful when the children at LTCC create special friendships and bonds with one another. It is so important for them to socialize with other children as they learn important lifelong skills such as; sharing, empathy, problem solving, cooperation, listening, and respect. The children worked together to create one large Valentine card, writing to a special person in their lives. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Building literacy and language skills in early childhood gives children a foundation to help them when they enter the school age years. We have been focusing on reading, writing and letter recognition this week with the preschool and toddler children.

Happy Hanukkah! The children learned all about the traditions of Hanukkah, by making Menorah’s, playing the dreidel game and tasting delicious Latkes!

In September we opened up our new toddler classroom. It has been an amazing success with wonderful children ans families that have joined us. Each day the children learn many new skills; fine motor and gross motor skills, language and communication, self-help skills, social skills and sharing, and many, many more!

Lest We Forget On Remembrance Day we acknowledge the courage of those who served our country and our responsibility for the peace they fought hard to achieve.

October has been a month of exploring with natural fall materials and objects, and fun filled science experiments. This has resulted in us making observations, asking lots of questions and having open discussions to gain further knowledge.

Our new toddler classroom!

This past week has been wonderful as we welcome returning and new children to the centre! The children are making new friends, and becoming familiar with their teachers, classrooms and daily routines.

We are extremely excited to announce that our new TODDLER classroom will be open this September! Learning Together Childcare will re-open on September 8th, 2020. Today we celebrated our preschool graduating class of 2020 with a graduation parade. This year our graduation looked quite different from our annual graduation celebrations but we are so thankful that we were able to see the children before they head off to Kindergarten and say goodbye! CONGRATULATIONS LTCC GRADUATES!!
