Lebanon is an ancient wine producer where on September 2020, the remains of a 2,600-year old winery press were discovered during an archeological dig at Tell el-Burak; a Lebanese city that lies close to the Mediterranean sea in what would have been an ancient Phoenician homeland, as reported by National Geographic.
