Would you know what to do during an emergency? How about if you all of the document resources were developed in a different language? @YourAlberta has recently translated these valuable resources into Punjabi, simplified and traditional Chinese, Spanish, Arabic and Tagalog. If you or someone you know needs this information, you can visit the ‘Resources and Translations’ link at the bottom of the different hazards and emergencies on: https://www.alberta.ca/emergency-prepa...redness.aspx and https://www.alberta.ca/hazard-preparedness.aspx
City of Leduc Fire Services has responded to a number of fires recently that have been quite devastating for the homeowners. Fire Investigators determined that the fires were caused by Lithium ion batteries that were improperly used, charged and stored. The City of Leduc Fire Prevention Branch would like to remind everyone to: - Always follow the manufacturers instructions in use, charging and storage of Lithium ion batteries - Do not charge a device under your pillow, on yo...ur bed, couch or on a soft surface - Keep batteries at room temperature Thank you Our Family Protecting Yours

Fire Chief George Clancy had the honor of presenting FF/PCP's Jeff Black, Patrick Bell, Cameron Turgeon, with their helmet shields and FF/PCP designated shirt slip on, following their successful completion of their Alberta College of Paramedics provincial testing. Congrats, Gents, and thank you for your service!
Important: Highway 2 southbound at #leduc closed due to MVC. Detour in place. City of Leduc Please approach with caution & adjust travel for road conditions.
We're responding to multiple vehicle incidents and collisions, north and southbound on Highway 2 so we kindly ask that motorists please adjust for the hazardous road conditions.
A friendly reminder to please stay safe as our seasons are changing.
With the winter season upon us it’s easy to lose track of when you last looked at your emergency kits, so use #DaylightSavings as a reminder. Now is the time to refresh your household and vehicle emergency kits with winter gear and rotate old and expired supplies. Replace bug spray and sunscreen with warmer layers like gloves, toques and boots Check expiration dates on food, water bottles and medication Double check your personal documents to make sure they are current For more ideas on what supplies you need to be prepared, visit https://www.alberta.ca/build-an-emergency-kit.aspx
Our thoughts and prayers go out to our brothers and sisters with the St. Albert Fire Services as they mourn the loss of their brother, Warren. May you R.I.P., Warren, we will take it from here!

Our annual "giving back to our community" hamper delivery was a great success last night. Each year, fire services team members volunteer their time to help deliver hampers on behalf of Leduc's Santa's Helpers to some of our less fortunate families living in our community. Our team helped to deliver 185 hampers!
No wonder we couldn't find Atticus all day. He was trying to retrofit this pylon into a cannon, so he could launch himself up to the top of the bays. Silly elf, whatever will we do with you? #elfontheshelf2020
I'm guessing it is time to make cookies with Atticus! Always remember to set a timer, and never leave the stove unsupervised when you are cooking or baking this Holiday Season. #elfontheshelf2020 #elfontheshelf
From our family to yours, please enjoy the festive season. We are here for you 24/7/365 if you require our assistance!
It's definitely Wednesday. I think the treadmill got the better of Atticus. Better luck next time lil guy! #elfontheshelf2020
Have you checked your fire extinguishers lately? Atticus seems to think we haven't checked this one yet. Needless to say, he decided to check it for us and got stuck there... Silly Elf! #elfontheshelf2020 #elfontheshelf

Atticus! Out of that gift. You know the rules. No peeking! No, it's not yours. Your name isn't on it...... I know there is a big # 11 on it, but that isn't your name. Just because the number 11 in German is pronounced elf, does not make it yours. Don't pout now. I'm sure Santa has a very special gift for you. You have to keep an eye on all the boys and girls to make sure they go on the correct list. #elfontheshelf2020 #elfontheshelf #elf #christmasiscoming City of Leduc

I know all of you missed Atticus this weekend, but it couldn't be helped. We took him to be tested this weekend. Guess what! It came back negative, and Atticus is free! Now it is time for the fun to begin! #elfquarantine #elfontheshelf2020 #elfontheshelf #covidsafe #COVID19... City of Leduc
