Thank you, Legacy Immigration Team OINP NOTICE: Important: eligible one-year programs of study For your application to be approved under the Job Offer: International Student stream, you must have received from an eligible Canadian institution one of the following: a degree or diploma that takes at least two years to complete if you study on a full-time basis, or a degree, diploma or certificate that takes at least one year to complete if you study on a full-time basis and that requires a completed degree as an admission requirement. This means that in order to be eligible, your one-year program must require a completed degree as an admission requirement. One-year programs are ineligible if they require a degree or a diploma, or a degree or work experience, or similar, regardless of whether you personally completed a degree program prior to being accepted into the one-year program. You must also have completed more than half of your studies while living and studying in Canada.

Urgent Notice: For students who have been issued study visa, some travel agents are altering college acceptance letters to allow them to book travel tickets. This is a serious offence and could result in misrepresentation finding even if the SP application is already approved. It could also result in travel ban and cancellation of your study visa. Please be extra vigilant because it is ultimately the student's responsibility in case their documents are found to be fraudulent. As soon as COVID restrictions are lifted, students will be able to travel and during the restrictions, students can continue online study without any negative impact on future work permit eligibility. It breaks our heart to announce that one of our own students, Puneet Rajoria passed away yesterday afternoon from an un-diagnosed cancer at a Toronto hospital. Hardeep Sandhu from our Brampton office is making arrangements for body to be repatriated to India including dealing with embassy, funeral home and seeking government authorizations. We will extend full financial, emotional and logistical support and help the family during this difficult time. We express our deepest condolences to the family. We encourage everyone to make a small contribution. Family circumstances are precarious because his sibling is also undergoing cancer treatment in India. Ontario will be opening new opportunities for people with experience in manufacturing industry under the In-Demand Stream. You need 9 months of experience and a job offer from eligible employer. Machine operators, assemblers under different NOC codes are eligible. If your job description falls under 9411, 9416, 9417, 9418, 9421, 9422, 9437, 9446, 9461, 9523, 9526, 9536 or 9537, you may qualify for this program. We will be getting more details on this program. Appointment at a local IRCC office All in-person permanent resident landing appointments at the local IRCC offices have been cancelled until further notice. Local offices are reduced to critical services, therefore, no appointments can be scheduled at this time. Validating a CoPR at a port of entry (PoE) Due to the current travel restrictions, you should not travel to a PoE to validate your CoPR. Travelling to a PoE from inside Canada for the purpose of getting immigration services is not considered essential travel, and you will not receive these services. What happens next? IRCC will be in contact with each client in this situation to clarify next steps as we adapt and resume our landing services.
