Sensei Moledzki began his martial arts journey in 1967 when he started training in Chito-Ryu (later transitioning to Shito-Ryu Itosukai Karate in 1969) at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Don Mills under Tsumura Kei Sensei. He soon became a formidable fighter in the tournament world. Shihan Robert Mustard began his aikido training under Takeshi Kimeda Sensei (9th Dan) in Toronto. In 1986, at the age of 29, he moved to Japan to train at the Yoshikan headquarters in Japan, with a plan to stay for one year. Hanshi Monty Guest is one of the few living Canadian martial artists who can claim he has been here from the start. He started in Chito-Ryu karate, in 1961, under the Father of Canadian Karate: Masami Tsuroka. He earned his black belt along with the likes of Senseis Shane Higashi, Benny Allen and Quoy Wong.
