This week youll meet: CINDY DERPACK: Controller Cindy took over as controller with the company when the previous one retired. Cindy has been involved in accounting for 25 years, but never with home building until now. She has said that she has truly enjoyed learning about the industry, and loves the product that we build.... Cindy chose the Cypress as her favourite home, which was our first Showhome in Jagare Ridge. This spacious bungalow coming in at just under 2000 sq ft on the main floor and 525 sq ft on the loft. It showed with a finished basement, 2 large bedrooms in the basement and a bar to envy. This is what she said about her favourite home: I remember walking into this home after visiting the full house lottery homes (that were up the street) and instantly falling in love with the high ceilings and large windows in the living/dining area. This week youll meet: BILL DAVIDSON, Director He got involved in the housing industry in 1981 with Nu-West homes, at the time the largest home builder in North America. He loved the industry! He got involved with the Edmonton Home Builders Association, there he met Burke Perry and they decided to partner up in a small volume, high service, truly custom home building company. His ...background in Architecture and love of design made this a "no brainer" decision. 30 years later he is still loving it! BILLS FAVOURITE BUILD: I have two homes, The "Georgian", our first showhome in 1991 and the "Donsdale" a custom bungalow built in 2018. The Georgian was a very traditional brick home that truly represented an Estate home. The entry was a knockout with a split "Scarlett O'hara"Staircase as you entered. Due to the timeline of this home (before social media) we arent able to showcase the interior The Donsdale was a moderately sized bungalow that showed much larger than its size due to excellent design. It was 2180 sq feet on the main floor and 1848 in the completed basement. It had a home gym, home theatre and even a car charge station! WHAT MAKES THEM YOUR FAVOURITE: Both of these homes stand out as my favorites because of the inherent design challenges. Both were on lots that had sat vacant for many years because the shape of the building pocket required subtantial creativity and "out of the box" thinking to come up with something workable. What we arrived at in both cases were two truly fantastic homes, taking full advantage of the idiosyncracies of the building site. Under some great mentoriship she was able to be part of so many sides of this company we call a family. Her key role today is managing day to day operations, marketing & sales. In 200...2, I worked for them as a site assistant for 1.5 years. I then went to other home builders, to gain my own experience after completing my Construction Engineering at NAIT and came back to Perry Homes in 2008 to start working on custom homes. Favourite build: Bellevue Lottery Home 2015 with Hockey Rink 2247 Sq Ft on Main Floor. 2850 Sq. Ft in basement with synthetic hockey rink under garage and stands. Why is it your favourite? It was a interesting build and one of the homes I managed from start to finish. There is structural slabs in the garage that span 24'0" across a large garage foundation with a room under.
