This week, the Legal Society will be hosting a Networking Night to provide students with an informal platform to meet with fellow students, faculty and legal professionals. We strongly encourage existing members, and all other interested individuals to come out for a social night at Shoeless Joe's in Scarborough (Located within walking distance of the college campus). ... Details are as follows: Event: Networking Night Date: Thursday February 25th, 2016 Time: 7:00-11:00 pm Location: Shoeless Joe's in Scarborough (20 Milner Business Court, Scarborough Ontario, M1B 3M6) in the Travelodge Plaza. This is a great opportunity to mingle and have fun in a relaxed, informal environment with students in similar interests! Displaced Persons Awareness Week It's time for your action! As part of our Conversations for Social Change series, the Centre for Global Citizenship Education & Inclusion introduces Displaced Persons Awareness Week at Centennial College. Please join us for a week of thought-provoking discussion and collaborative art exhibitions, January 18-21, 2016. Monday January 18, Morningside Campus, Common area, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm ... A presentation by Andrea Bobadilla ofHealth For All, addressing the health needs of displaced people and raising awareness about the links between global migration, social justice and migrant health. Organizations such as Migrante Canada, Toronto Friends of Refugees, Refugees Welcome Project, Romero House and more will have booths set up as part of an Information Fair.Stories of Migration interactive exhibit: Students will be invited to share their own or their families’ stories of migration on a large-scale world map along with using the hashtag #CC4Change.
