Dave recommends "Boy's Life" by Robert McCammon-- to this day my all time favorite book. I was up all night reading this one, and I had a dilemma: I really wanted to know how it ended, but at the same time I loved it so much I didnt want it to end. (The only time I've ever been so torn!) McCammon is better known for his horror novels ("Swan Song"being kne of the better ones) but this one is best described as a coming-of-age story with a bit of mystery thrown in. It perfectly encapsulates the wonder and magic of growing up, the highs and lows, the jous and pain.
