The City's Community Cultural Development Investment Program offers grants to individuals, groups and non-profit organizations. Fall application deadline is Sept 30. The Michael Wright and Outlet galleries are reopening on Thursday, October 22nd from 5-7pm for the Opening Reception of two exhibitions: On View from a Distance by Chun Ping (Claire) Huang and Capturing a Wave by Kaitlyn Beugh To attend the opening, you must pre-register for a timeslot and follow all COVID-19 safety protocols. Celebrate Culture Days with a virtual Artist Talk on Sunday, Sept 27 at 2 pm, with the City's Lions Park Artist in Residence, Cherry Lu. Over the past 5 months, Cherry has worked with residents to create a series of meditative art installations in the park that reflect the elements of sun, rain and wind. During this Artist Talk, be inspired by images and video of the art while learning how Cherry worked with our community members. RSVP at [email protected].

Today we are announcing the Grand Prize winner of our Flash Fiction Writing Contest from May Days 2020. A big congratulations to our winner, Jade Wong!!!
