It’s been sometime going somewhere exploring solo. Several weeks ago a day trip to Paris.... no not Paris France ..... Paris Ontario Canada. The highlight was a short hike on the Cambridge-Paris trail. Sat on the banks of the Grand River enjoying the sites of an old mill. Ruins now. The woolen mill was built in 1867. Tragedy struck in 1886 a fatal accident. Around 1895 it was opened as a hotel then in 1941 a murder in one of the rooms the hotel closed. A wealthy man purchased the hotel converted into his home. 1944 the Canadian Railway purchased the home for the rights of the land for tracks. It was to have been torn down in 1946. Today magnificent ruins.
