Do you ever experience a dry scalp? This time of year always seems to cause this problem for me! . If a dry, flaky scalp is a problem for you too then I have a suggestion that will help! Biolage’s Scalp Sync is my favourite shampoo for this issue and I’ve used it for years! I’m not sponsored to say this by the way - I actually just love this product. I keep a bottle of the Scalp Sync in my shower so I can use it when needed! ... . Wash your hair first with your usual shampoo, rinse and then apply the Biolage shampoo - trying to get the majority of it on the parts of your scalp that are the most dry/itchy. I do this at the start of the shower so it can sit on for several minutes (that’s the key). Rinse well and then follow-up with your usual conditioner. Let me know if you end up trying it and how it works for you! . . . . . #Biolage #biolagescalpsync #antidandruffshampoo #dryscalprelief #dryscalptreatment #protiptuesday #hairtips #hairtips101 #nanaimohairstylist
Hello Friends! I have been working on something that I am very excited to share with you! I hope I’ve piqued your interest... . As you know, I am currently on my maternity leave. I’m absolutely loving this special time with Emma (can’t believe she’ll be a year old in May!) And I’ve also missed doing your hair and connecting with you all! So, next month I’ll be letting you in on what I’ve been planning for my re-entry into the industry. Please stay tuned! .... Thank you so much to everyone for your continued support and for keeping in touch through messages here and there - it does not go unnoticed and I appreciate it so very much!
Have you ever left the salon feeling like you didn’t quite get what you wanted? Well here’s a idea that will help! . During the consultation, it’s easier to focus on the things we don’t like or don’t want done to our hair. That is very understandable! But after 12 years of experience in this industry, I promise this will work better! .... Here it is, try to focus on talking about all the things you DO want/like. Simple right? Give it a try and see if it helps! . . . . . #ProTipTuesday #hairtips #consultation #nanaimohairstylist #hair See more
Flowers? Yes please!! Thank you my amazing husband - you are the sweetest. And he said, I didn’t even do anything wrong!
Have you ever wondered what the coldbutton is for on your hair-dryer? . If you said, It’s for cooling yourself down then you’re probably like most people before they learned what it was really meant for, (although it does work on a hot day too)! .... The cold button on your hair-dryer is essentially for setting your hair in whatever shape you’re trying to create. Basically, if you use a shot of cold air to set the hair it will hold its new shape better and longer! Pretty great right? . It works best when used in conjunction with a round brush, heat the hair up first and then give it some cold air for a few seconds while the hair is still on the brush. There you go! If you end up trying this tip let me know in the comments below!
