Getting to know FCHN!

Well that’s exciting! Thank you for all who voted for me. I hope I continue to provide people in this wonderful community the support they need to engage in the activities that are the most meaningful to them.

According to University of Alberta occupational therapy researchers Cary Brown and Kaitlin O’Toole, mental health apps can promote resilience to deal with isola...tion. They can also be a good starting point for people who may not be ready or able to seek support in person - particularly first responders or military members. Their study of 12 free mobile health apps that guide users through diaphragmatic breathing, mindfulness exercises, progressive muscle relaxation and other anxiety management strategies give insights that may be helpful during isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
