On November 15, 2021, the Alberta and federal governments announced an agreement to reduce child care fees by an average of 50% in early 2022 and to provide $10 per day fees, on average, by 2026. We can’t wait to share more with our families as we get more information!

Halloween fun

Hand eye coordination, balance, concentration and fine motor skills are all developmental targets of this new game!

Who says you need a paintbrush to paint!?

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Phyllis Jack was six years old when she was sent to residential school. She was excited to go to school, and asked for a new orange shirt she saw in a store to wear on her first day. When she arrived at the school, staff took all her clothes, including the orange shirt. She never saw it again. It is now a symbol of the str...ipping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations. Today we all wore orange to remember the impact of the residential school system on so many families. We read amazing children’s stories written by indigenous authors that were inspiring and educational. Every. Child. Matters.

Having a blast creating masterpieces

We’ve had a busy week with visits from members of our community! Today we had a visit from Petland. The children got to see and touch many different animals including a bearded dragon, snake, ferret, guinea pig, hedgehog, gecko, and more!

Huge thank you to Hall Dental Centre for the wonderful presentation. Each child was able to practice the proper steps to brushing their teeth with a fun oversized toothbrush! Next we played a game where we learned which foods make our teeth happy and which foods make our teeth sad. We learned that sugar bugs can make cavities in our teeth. At the end of the presentation, each child received a goodie bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and stickers! Thank you for this wonderful learning opportunity!

This allows ...parents and guardians to securely receive their child’s COVID-19 test results and print off the results for those who need them. Children’s test results will also be accessible as a printable PDF. Parents: you will need to provide your child’s personal health number and test date to access your child’s COVID-19 test results (within the last 30 days). MyHealth Records is a secure platform which allows Albertans to access their personal health information anywhere and at any time. Access your own & your child’s COVID-19 test results by signing up for your MyHealth Records account, at alberta.ca/myhealthrecords All Albertans over the age of 14 who sign up for MyHealth Records are also to see their own immunization records, pharmacy history, and other lab results.
