Nicholas Sheran Park disc golf course will be closed on Saturday, Sept 12 until 5:30pm for a sanctioned tournament.

Congratulations to the 26 players who have qualified for league finals. Pools are based on the top 3 rounds for each player. Yellow is A Pool, blue is B Pool. Finals will take place over the next 2 Tuesdays, Sept 1 & 8. You must attend both nights to place. We will tee off at 6:00pm sharp both nights so please try to arrive at the course by 5:45pm.... HOLE 9 - Safety Issue One or more dead trees have been removed from the hole 9 green creating a safety issue for park users. Note the park bench just past the pin. We have placed caution tape around this bench. The path also comes into play long of the basket. We will be required to use a spotter on this hole until the City is able to work with us on a solution. Please avoid ace runs on hole 9 for now. Park users safety is always our first priority. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Lethbridge West Lions Club Disc Golf Course Bridge City Gunners Disc Golf Club is very pleased to announce a new 18-hole disc golf course being developed here in Lethbridge.... The "Lethbridge West Lions Club Disc Golf Course" will be located in Peenaquim Park. Thanks to a very generous donation from the Lions, as well as financial support and land from the City of Lethbridge, this project is moving forward. We are thrilled to be able to add a second course in Lethbridge, and hope to see installation sometime in 2021.

Distance and Driving Workshop with World Distance Champion "Frisbee Rob" McLeod FRIDAY, JULY 3rd Nicholas Sheran Park Disc Golf Course Rob McLeod, a motivational speaker and frisbee ambassador, from Calgary will be running a Distance and Driving Workshop from 5-6pm at Hole #1. Cost is $20/person and you will need to bring your own discs. All are welcome. You do not need to be registered for Spring Runoff to participate.... Rob is the 2017 World Distance Champion, along with winning silver in 2019 and bronze in 2013. He also holds the Canadian Distance Record with a throw of 712 feet. In this workshop, you will learn how to get more power and control on your drives, more distance on all of your throws, and gain confidence overall. Payment can be made using e-transfer to [email protected] or you can pay in person with cash. All participants will receive a free mini.

If you want to pre-arrange groups with your friends before-hand, that’s fine. There will be one scorecard per group and only one person will keep score for the group. Start on any available hole. If you’re not feeling well, stay home. And if you belong to a group that is considered more vulnerable to the virus, please consider additional precautions. Be sure to touch only your own equipment. Skip the high-fives and fist bumps in favor of other contactless celebrations. Consider picking up gimme putts to minimize your contact with shared surfaces. All players will tee off from the whites, except ladies and juniors who will tee off from the reds. Wherever possible, these sites will be locked and signs will be installed informing the public. Even if the amenity is not signed or locked, the City strongly encourages residents to refrain from any of these outdoor recreation activities at this time. Every measure we can take to flatten the curve and protect the health of our community is incredibly important at this time. Residents are asked to pay close attention to the restrictions in place.
