Wednesday evening the band rehearsed in the east end of Henderson Lake Park. If the weather holds for today (Thursday), we'll be practicing again on the west side of Nicolas Sheran Park, for what will likely be our last opportunity for an outdoor gettogether in 2020. Here we are setting up in the dying light of the day for an autumn evening rehearsal in Nicholas Sheran park on Wednesday. With luck, the weather will cooperate and allow us another practice or two outside before we have to shut down to avoid COVID-19 worries [Photo credit: Kerry Crump] .

The band held a rehearsal in the east end of Henderson Lake park yesterday evening. We hope you enjoyed hearing us play! Weather permitting, we expect to be outside practicing next Wednesday evening in a city park.

Free piping lessons will be getting underway beginning this coming Saturday. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic, these can no longer be done in person at the Lethbridge Legion as they used to be. Instead, we will conduct lessons over Zoom. Students from last year will receive separate e-mails with a Zoom invite. For newcomers to piping, please message us or contact us by e-mail at lethbridgelegionpipeband.ca to be sent meeting information. If you are new to piping, please don't rush out and buy anything until you've had a session.

While COVID-19 has interrupted our parade season this year, the band has been active over the summer, taking advantage of outdoor rehearsals with ample physical distancing. For the past three Wednesdays, the band has practiced at Henderson and Nicolas Sheran parks and most recently down at the Fort in the river valley. Watch for us in coming weeks in different locations around Lethbridge, as the weather permits.
